(a.k.a. F.A.Q.)

General Information:
I work primarily with acrylics, charcoal, ink and oil pastels. All artwork will be coated with a protective varnish in either satin or gloss finish to protect against UV rays and dust. Paintings on canvas, birch boards or plywood will arrive wired and with painted sides; they are ready to hang without needing a frame. Unless otherwise noted, all canvas will be 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas. Works on paper or canvas boards are generally sold unmounted and will need to be framed.

Although I have made every effort to show an accurate depiction of my work, please note that all monitors are different and the image of a painting may appear lighter or darker on your screen compared to the actual painting.

All paintings and sketches include the cost of shipping within the US. (Please contact me directly for international shipping quotes.) Your artwork will be packaged for safe arrival and will ship via FedEx or US Postal Service depending upon the size of the piece. Once your artwork is on its way, I will provide you with the FedEx or USPS tracking number.

If the art arrives damaged in any way, please contact me within 24 hours. If we determine that the damage cannot be fixed we'll then work together to have the painting sent back to me and you can either apply the funds towards another painting or I will refund your money.

Keeping your painting clean and protected:
All artwork has been varnished for protection against UV rays and dirt, however, there are a few steps you can take to ensure the longevity of your painting. Avoid hanging artwork in direct sunlight. Also, avoid cleaning surface of painting with solvents or water, this could cause extensive damage. Instead please use spray canned air across the surface of the painting. You can also seek out professional services to clean your painting. An experienced art conservator will have the best method to assure the safety of your artwork.

PLEASE NOTE:  The purchase of any original artwork does not transfer reproduction rights. All rights remain with the artist, Shauna Meiri.
